Terms and Conditions
Plant root stock ordered will be reserved when paid in full for fall shipment until plant root stock availability is exhausted. Plant root stock ordered after September 15th of current year will not be shipped until the following year in September. The best time to transplant peonies is in the fall. Shipment is through Priority Mail to the contingent 48 States and Alaska. Canada orders are also shipped Priority Mail. We cannot take any other International orders at this time.
Plants ordered via any communication are not entered until full payment is received. Payment must be in U.S. dollars. We accept payments via personal check or credit card. No substitutions are allowed unless received in writing from you. Shipments begin mid-September. We do not sell our customer contact information.
Plants received from us are 3 to 5 eye divisions with enough root so that you can expect one to two stems your first year and possibly one or two flowers. This in no way assures that this will happen for you, but the plants you receive make it a possibility. First year flowers will more than likely not be full size, but should show color and form consistent of what we show and describe for that particular plant. Ideal growing zones for peonies are zones 2 – 8. Check with your local extension office to find out your growing zone.
Plants are guaranteed the first year to be the physical plant that you ordered. Please inspect the roots stock upon arrival and plant them right away. We cannot control your growing environment, planting abilities, fragrance of flower or other circumstances beyond our control. However, we would be glad to help you figure out why your plant did not grow. Please contact us and we will work with you to diagnose the problem.
Those flowers ordered and paid in full in physical person during our show season at Aspelund Peony Gardens are guaranteed for first year growth.
